An Oklahoman and a Canadian meet in Nashville, TN. 

In 2001, Ben Blankenship moved from Enid, Oklahoma to Nashville. A few years later Carol Buttenham headed to Music City via the Carribean. The two crossed paths playing a “round” at the original Country Music Hall of Fame Lounge but didn't reconnect for another 14 years. 

Ben continued writing, recording and playing around Nashville with various bands, performers and songwriters at a number of Nashville venues. Meanwhile, Carol was traveling back and forth on I-75 touring venues from Ontario to Florida and performing as a solo lounge act on board Carnival Cruise Lines. 

Ben and Carol reconnected and married in 2016 forming the duo/trio The Blankenships and a few years later the 5 piece band, the Bee Benders.  They play a mix of original material, most of which is penned by Ben, some jazz standards and few favorites ranging from Neil Young to Joni Mitchell and the Beatles to Buck Owens.
